Three months after its release, LE SSERAFIM's song "EASY" is being accused of sounding too similar to another song.
On May 17, 2024, a post titled "The song that sounds like LE SSERAFIM's 'EASY'" was uploaded to the popular South Korean online community forum TheQoo.
In the post, the original poster compares LE SSERAFIM's February 2024 release "EASY" with a song from 2017. The song was released by the rapper Velous and is titled "Cliché." The original poster noted that every song except for "We Got So Much" has a controversy attached to it.
Korean netizens who saw the post and listened to both songs couldn't deny how similar the two songs are. The melody and the rhythm are nearly identical, with people questioning if this counts as plagiarism.

Many claim that they can even imagine LE SSERAFIM singing the "EASY" lyrics with the "Cliché" instrumental.
Many wondered why HYBE would copy another song. It was noted that the company must be receiving several love calls from producers all around the world; therefore, there is no need for them to plagiarize a song.
