Following claims that Seungri was planning to open a nightclub in Hong Kong, one of the nation's biggest celebrity heirs is drawing attention to his message to the ex-BIGBANG member.
Currently, Seungri is back in the spotlight after the BBC released a documentary documenting the 2018-2019 "Burning Sun" scandal, which centered around Seungri and his circle of friends. Seungri's club, Burning Sun, was identified for illegal activity, such as drug abuse and date rape, sexual harassment and assault, illegal filming of sexual activity (oftentimes non-consensual), and more.

His scandal is the reason why news of him planning to open a new club immediately went viral. On May 22, 2024, a netizen claimed their friend heard rumors of Seungri opening a new nightclub in Hong Kong. According to them, they saw Seungri at the Creamfields Hong Kong, a music festival.
There, she discovered Seungri permanently resides in Hong Kong and plans to do business in the East Tsim Sha Tsui area. Reportedly, the former BIGBANG member has been socializing with alcohol distributors and nightclub owners.

Soon, media reports picked up on the news, with some claiming Seungri had purchased a luxury apartment in Hong Kong. Soon, Hong Kong netizens expressed their distaste for Seungri and the possibility of him living and doing business in the region.
However, the most notable individual who is against Seungri being in Hong Kong is Jacky Heung, the son of Hong Kong showbiz tycoon Charles Heung.

The actor took to his social media to share a report of Seungri's plans in Hong Kong and shared his thoughts. Addressing Seungri, he said, "You are not welcome here, so do not come over. Please stay away from Hong Kong show business."
He also dissed the supposed plans of Seungri to open a nightclub in Hong Kong, with Jacky Heung telling him to get lost. He said, "Plans to open a nightclub? Do not bring your negative influence here and affect us badly. Get lost."
Currently, it appears news of Seungri opening a nightclub is not true. On May 23, the Hong Kong government released a memo stating that they have not received any visa application from Seungri for any talent admission schemes. Additionally, they added that Korean nationals are allowed to remain in Hong Kong visa-free for 90 days or less.
