A viral TikTok video is garnering backlash for supposedly mocking ILLIT member Moka.
On May 26, 2024, Korean TikTok user Kim Yoon Bin shared a video made with two of her friends. In the video, the girls are seen holding tablets up to their faces with photos of the ILLIT members. Depending on the member, the girl would sing their lines and try to mimic their voices.

It all seemed normal until the third girl swiped to a photo of Moka. Instead of singing normally, she changed her tone to sound nasally and unstable, in a way that appeared to mock the young idol.
The three then went on to chant the chorus but did not finish their "performance" without laughing. As of writing, the video has over 1.3 million views and over 125,300 likes.
While the video has gone viral, not everyone is impressed. Many called out the creator and her friends for mocking the members, accusing them of cyberbullying. It was noted that they can dislike Moka's voice or criticize her skill, but it is not right to spread hate.
Many hoped that they would stop mocking the ILLIT members, especially Moka, who have confessed to having read the hate comments during their appearance on "Knowing Bros." Ever since their debut, the girl group has been criticized for their live vocals skills, but it has only been magnified amid the ongoing feud between HYBE Labels and Min Hee Jin (CEO of ADOR).

However, some defended the creator and her friends. Some people saw the video as comedy and even praised them for their creativity. Still, people asserted that this was done to hate the ILLIT members, especially Moka, who has received the most backlash for her voice.
Some comments read,
- "This is cyberbullying against Moka. Please stop."
- "You can criticize, but don't spread hate."
- "Why don't you show your faces?"
- "The part with Moka was not cute at all. She is still human at the end of the day, and continuously mocking somebody is just cruel. I'm sure if it was you, you wouldn't be able to handle it."
- "This is so toxic. You guys are obsessed with ILLIT."
- "This isn't bullying, it's comedy."
- "This sounds even better than the original."
- "Better than ILLIT themselves."
