Korean EXO-Ls are pushing their "EXO 5" agenda by wanting to exclude Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin from the group's future activities.
Amid the battle between EXO-CBX (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin) against SM Entertainment, some actively intervened and showed internal division. One side supported the trio, while the other side turned their backs on them.
The fandom started showing their divided opinions after hearing both the trio and the label's side. Those who support CBX agreed that they should fight against the company, especially after knowing the unfair treatment that they received from SM.
On the flip side, those who started the wave of support of "EXO 5" expressed their anger at the trio for bringing up the issue ahead of the supposed winter comeback revealed by SM. According to them, if the lawsuit continues, there is a tendency that the abbum be canceled.
A fan stated on a social media forum:
"It's better if it will only be the five of them."
The agenda, "EXO 5" aims to pursue the group's activities even without CBX, leaving only Suho, Kai, D.O, Chanyeol, and Sehun.
Seeing this, some agreed that it would be better to continue without CBX, insisting that there would be no much change or disruption to the team's skills even with just five members.
Although CBX is comprised of two main vocals, there is still D.O., who is also the main vocalist of the team.
Suho, the leader, also has good vocal skills; hence, fans think the singing part wouldn't be a problem.
The main rapper will remain to be the same which is Chanyeol, and the members who will be responsible for the dance will be Kai and Sehun.
In online communities, Kerries unanimously agreed:
- "I support 5-member EXO."
- "I'd rather do it with five members."
- "I think EXO without Baekhyun will still be enough."
- "I support EX5, too."
Initially, EXO-Ls were all supporting the members when CBX first revealed the lawsuit against SM. However, with the threat of the group activities being put on hold again, the division of public opinion started to happen.
Shockingly, many showed no disagreement regarding SM's rebuttal, with Eris stating that they were also skeptical about CBX's initial response when accused of SM of being involved in tampering with Big Planet Made and ONE HUNDRED, the parent label of Baekhyun's own agency, INB100.
