A man in his 30s has been arrested for impersonating a popular third-gen male idol.
On June 13, 2024, a man in his 30s, hereby referred to as A, was caught impersonating N.Flying's Kim Jaehyun, according to the Seocho Police Station.
One of the women who was a victim of A's impersonation reported the incident to the police, leading to him being caught. An official from the Seocho Police Station stated they prosecuted A on charges of fraud and theft.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the woman who reported A was not the only victim of his impersonation. He had a number of victims who suffered damages due to his actions, with some individuals even facing financial loss.
Kim Jaehyun, who was impersonated by A, actively participated in the investigation as a witness.
This is not the first time someone has impersonated Kim Jaehyun. In fact, FNC Entertainment had to release a statement regarding the manner, stating that these people were causing harm and damaging the idol's reputation.

They stated,
"There have been several cases of people impersonating our artist, Kim Jaehyun of N.Flying.
Through reports made by fans, we are aware that an individual is impersonating Kim Jaehyun, using his identity to approach others and engage in misbehaviors, which is hurting Kim Jaehyun's reputation. We ask the fans to remain vigilant to prevent any potential harm."
The police have decided to accelerate the investigation to prevent further harm, as concerns over people impersonating not only Kim Jaehyun but members of the fandom were also brought up.
Kim Jaehyun made his debut as a member of N.Flying in 2015. Currently, he is partaking in his mandatory military enlistment. He is serving as an alternative soldier.
N.Flying's last musical release was the digital single album, "Once in a BLUE MOON." Released on May 20, 2023 to celebrate their eighth anniversary, the album contained two songs: "Blue Moon" and "Tree."
