THIS Is Why Fans Are Concerned For BLACKPINK Rosé's Future Activities After Signing With THEBLACKLABEL

Fans are expressing their concerns for BLACKPINK Rosé after it was confirmed she signed with THEBLACKLABEL.

At the end of 2023 and into February 2024, three BLACKPINK members, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo, respectively launched their own entertainment management companies following their decision not to renew their individual contracts with YG Entertainment.

Jennie was the first to set up ODD ATELIER, and Lisa and Jisoo later established LLOUD and Blisso, respectively.

Four months later, fans are finally getting information about Rosé’s new management company. The morning after the Korean media leaked details of Rosé’s contract, THEBLACKLABEL confirmed they had signed an exclusive contract with the female idol. This makes Rosé the last of the BLACKPINK members to announce their future activities after leaving YG Entertainment.

THEBLACKLABEL stated that Rosé would engage in global music projects and collaborate with international record labels, promoting utmost support in various fields.

Their whole statement reads:

"Hello, this is THEBLACKLABEL.

We are pleased to announce our management contract with artist Rosé. Based on a deep mutual trust, producer Teddy and Rosé have signed a new partnership

Rosé is preparing to meet her global fans with new music and will collaborate with international record labels. We are committed to supporting Rosé in broadening her professional endeavors.

Thank you."

Despite this promising news, some fans expressed concerns about Rosé’s career, recalling instances where other artists managed by THEBLACKLABEL seemed to fade from the spotlight. One of the most prominent cases is soloist Jeon Somi, who experienced reduced visibility and long hiatuses between music releases despite her high-profile debut with I.O.I.

Anda, another artist under THEBLACKLABEL, also had a promising start but then vanished from the music scene after her first few releases.

When THEBLACKLABEL announced their exclusive contract with Rosé, it sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some expressing disappointment, fearing that Rosé might face similar challenges as her label mates. Many were concerned that her comebacks would be sparse, and that she would focus mostly on brand deals.

Despite these concerns, many fans remain supportive and hopeful that Rosé will continue to thrive and achieve greater artistic freedom through her new contract.

Rosé’s venture into this new chapter with THEBLACKLABEL promises potential growth and opportunities, supported by the strong foundation she has built with her music and global appeal.

As she embarks on this journey, fans eagerly await the new activities and milestones she will achieve in her ever-growing career.
