iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 Release Date: Photos Leaked Of Shell And Logic Board Of Alleged Budget Phone, Device Rumored To Launch Fall 2013

As the news of an upcoming iPhone 5S continue to swirl the rumor mill, MacRumors is reporting that it has received several images that appear to show both the interior and exterior shell of the Apple’s latest phone model.

According to MacRumors, the iPhone 5S appears to carry the same redesigned logic board that appeared earlier this week, which shows that it could well be the new iPhone. The Apple rumors site also shows the shell of the new phone in its set of leaked photos.

Many have dubbed the iPhone 5S as the budget phone, priced at $99 it will have a plastic casing, available in an array of color options and will have the standard screen size similar current iPhone models.

It is rumored to be launched together with the iPhone 6, which rumors say is Apple’s answer to the phablet – phones almost the size of the tablet – a craze started by Samsung and its other rivals.

MacRumors has observed that the main chip on the logic board of the alleged iPhone 5S is not labeled with an A-series name like the A6 seen on the iPhone 5. They are saying it is unclear whether the chip name has been removed somehow or if it was never printed in the first place.

Based on the leaked photos, the battery carries a more recent Apple Part Number of 616-0652 and is compared to the iPhone 5 battery, which has carried several different part numbers including 616-0611 and 616-0613.

The Apple rumor hub noted that the new battery  appears to have a higher capacity of 5.92 Whr, compared to the 5.45 Whr capacity of the iPhone 5 battery, which could well show that the new iPhone will have longer battery life.

The battery visible in the pictures has several blank boxes printed on it where various regulatory logos would be placed, implying that it is a prototype battery that is yet to receive final certifications.

The rear shell photo shows a vertical pill-shaped window for the LED flash as opposed to a round window, which supports the rumors of a dual LED flash for the iPhone 5S, noted MacRumors. A similar pill-shaped window was depicted on a case maker’s design drawings, which has also been leaked earlier this week.

An earlier report by Reuters confirms many rumors by Apple bloggers and enthusiasts that following the launch of the iOS 7, the new iPhones will arrive around September.
