ITZY's producer is earning the ire of fans after telling Ryujin to get Botox. The idol has since spoken out about the situation.

On July 30, Ryujin took to her Instagram to share some of her latest photos. In the photos, the idol flaunted her new pink hair, sharing different images of her rocking the style. In the first photo, the idol shared a close-up shot of her face grimacing, which earned laughs and compliments from fans.

Among the many loving comments from fans, one stood out. ITZY's producer Friday left a comment that read, "Ryujin, let's go get some Botox."

Friday was quickly flooded with hate comments, calling him out for his rude and out-of-pocket comment. They stated that Ryujin looked beautiful in all her photos, and she also looked youthful. Many claimed it was rude for him to say she needed Botox, and that she was just as beautiful as ever.

After being bombarded with hate comments, Friday quickly deleted his comments. He also restricted the comment section on his Instagram.

Friday has been working with ITZY since their debut as part of the producing duo GALACTIKA. Besides their debut "DALLA DALLA," he also worked on "WANNABE," "LOCO," "SNEAKERS," and more. In the past, Friday has showcased how close he is to the ITZY members, often calling them his kids. Their close relationship sparked even more disappointment.

Though Friday has not responded to the backlash, Ryujin has. The idol took to Bubble to share a lengthy message regarding the situation and defend Friday.

She stated that Friday had personally apologized to her, and left a tasteless joke in her comment section because found it too awkward to say she looked pretty. Friday also apologized for hurting the MIDZYs who cherish Ryujin.

She proceeded to defend the producer, stating that he treasures ITZY and hopes fans can see him in a good light. Her whole message reads,

"It's late at night, but there's something I want to share, so I'm leaving this post here. I want to address the comment that Producer Friday left on my personal Instagram post. He personally came to apologize, explaining that he found it awkward to tell me I looked pretty and ended up making a joke in poor taste. He's sincerely sorry for that and has also reached out to apologize to MIDZYs who cherish me.

Since MIDZYs always think of me, I wanted to let you know about this. He's a producer who always values ITZY as well, so I ask you to view him kindly. I'm sorry if I woke any MIDZYs up, but I just wanted to leave this message so you wouldn't be too bothered by it. "
