Recently, ADOR has been in dispute with HYBE Labels after Dispatch released a report claiming Min Hee Jin had stolen the members of NewJeans from Source Music. Amid the turmoil between the two companies, past scandals involving NewJeans resurfaced.

Many claimed that within the group, their relationship was not as close as what fans believed. There were also accusations of one member being a "bully." This topic is currently causing heated debates on K-pop forums.

Specifically, netizens have surfaced numerous clips showing interactions between NewJeans members, revealing that the youngest member, Hyein, has been isolated multiple times. Hyein often appears quiet during live streams, standing apart from the group. Despite being the youngest, Hyein is treated indifferently and often seems embarrassed due to the lack of attention from her members.

Hyein was the last to join NewJeans, while the other four members, Minji, Haerin, Hanni, and Danielle, had been training together at Source Music before her addition to the group. Because of that, these four members share a close bond. Although she joined later, Hyein stands out due to her impressive height and unique aura within the group.

While a beloved member of the group, fans have noted that Hyein appears stressed about NewJeans' overall concept, leading to a sense of forcefulness in some performances. Recently, Hyein has not participated in promotional activities for the double singles "How Sweet" and "Supernatural" due to health issues, leaving NewJeans to operate as a four-member group. This has intensified rumors of Hyein being ignored by her members.

Following rumors of discord within the group, Minji has been singled out as a "bully." The most notable accusation is that Minji supposedly disrespected Hyein's mother. On July 12, 2024, during the pre-recording session for "Supernatural" at Music Bank, Hyein's mother visited the set and prepared food for the girls. Allegedly, Minji refused to eat the fruits prepared by Hyein's mother.

A NewJeans fan account highlighted a moment when Hyein asked Minji about the fruit her mother sent. Minji didn't eat the peaches and watermelon from Hyein's mother but later bought watermelon herself. Hyein asked if the fruits her mother sent didn't taste good, to which Minji replied, "No, you guys eat that."

In a group livestream, another controversial moment occurred when Hyein was playing with gift wrapping paper, and Minji took it away and threw it aside with a rather dismissive attitude.

As a result, Minji has been criticized for abusing her status as the oldest member of the group and was accused of bullying the younger members. While some fans argue that these moments aren't enough to claim Minji is a bully, the rumors of internal conflict within NewJeans and criticism of Minji's behavior continue to spread.
