Korean news outlets disclosed that Kwon Mina is reportedly planning to make a gradual return to the spotlight after four years.
On August 19, OSEN released an exclusive report detailing former AOA member Kwon Mina's return to the industry. According to sources, a close aide from the idol reportedly told the outlet that Mina plans to do activities in an MCN (Multi-Channel Network).
"Kwon Mina is planning to start her activities through an MCN (Multi-Channel Network)," The idol's friend reportedly shared. "Kwon Mina expressed a great desire to try acting again if a good opportunity comes up once again."
Though the outlet reported details regarding Mina's update, it also shared that her comeback, which was announced on YouTube, is not considered to be an immediate return to the entertainment industry.
OSEN also shared that Kwon Mina's mental health has improved a lot. Mina's friend added, "Kwon Mina has become healthy enough to view malicious posts with confidence."
On the same day (August 19), Kwon Mina's official fan café released a notice regarding the former idol's 2024 activities. It shared that Mina would interact with fans through her YouTube content and livestreams.
However, the specific details of her schedule will be announced at a later date.

In 2020, Kwon Mina accused Shin Jimin of prolonged bullying, which also led to the latter's departure from AOA. The controversy arose drastically along the way, as the public perception was rocked back and forth through countless forums discussing both Mina's and Jimin's sides.
Mina left FNC Entertainment on May 13, 2019.
"FNC Entertainment has worked with AOA with mutual trust, and we will continue to fully support the five members who renewed their exclusive contracts. However, Mina, who has been with the agency for seven years, has decided to leave the agency to follow her path."
We have decided to respect her choice, ultimately leading to the termination of her exclusive contract and her departure from AOA. We would like to ask you to support Mina in this difficult choice."
