K-Media Praise 4th-Gen Girl Group With No Live Performance Controversy Since Debut K-pop Wiki

Amid the stigma that 4th-gen K-pop acts have "poor" live performance skills, this girl group is an exception for their outstanding, stable vocals since debut.

With the influx of K-pop groups in this era, fans are not only after good music, visuals, and concepts, but are choosing to stan idols with excellent live skills.

Due to this, several of them, even the popular teams, are criticized for not meeting fans' expectations. Still, there are plenty of artists who are talented enough to surpass such standards.

Among them, the K-media WikiTree named a girl group that will never be involved in a live performance controversy — and it's none other than STAYC!

Since their debut in 2020, STAYC has always received favorable reviews for having stable vocals. They are known for consistently performing live, refusing to perform while lip-syncing.

Regarding the reason they choose to perform live, Sieun justified it in a previous interview.

"I think we can feel the live stage, breathing, and energy more when we perform live. That's why I like performing live on stage more."

Due to their solid skills, they became notable for many songs such as "STEREOTYPE," "ASAP," "RUN2U," "Teddy Bear," and more.

Four years after their debut, they continued to show off their position as a vocal powerhouse, now with their single album, "...I," released on October 30, which contains two songs, "GPT" and "Meant to Be."

In the album, they unveiled an acapella version of the title track, which is unusual for this current K-pop era where AR or backtracks are rampant.

Sadly, with their strong competitors from the "BIG 4" and medium-sized companies, STAYC, who debuted under the small label High Up Entertainment, is considered an "underrated" group.
