EXO's "The First Snow" continues to trend on various online platforms and secure spots on music charts as South Koreans welcome the winter season. Dance challenges and song covers also pour out on social media, with people enjoying the 2013 Christmas track while they delight in the snow. But Eris weren't expecting a huge plot twist — former EXO member Luhan streaming the song!
On the morning of November 29, Luhan held a live stream on Douyin (Chinese TikTok) to communicate with his fans. In the middle of his broadcast, he threw a few comments about SM Entertainment and its founder Lee Soo Man.
"Can I play it? I don't care about SM anymore, anyway. Lee Soo Man is gone, so I'm going to play it since it's snowing in Beijing, too."
Then, he started playing "The First Snow" and even vibed along with it. What also stunned EXO-Ls was that he played the Korean version!
"The First Snow" is a b-sidetrack from EXO's winter album "Miracles in December," which was released in 2013 in both Korean and Chinese. Luhan was still a member when the EP was unveiled.
For years, the song has become a staple for Koreans whenever the first snow drops, and keeps on resurfacing on the charts due to its heightened streams as Christmas approaches.
But witnessing the former EXO member Luhan streaming "The First Snow" is a breath of fresh air and evokes a sense of nostalgia among EXO-Ls, who used to call themselves Exotics.
As Luhan, who's now a top soloist in China following his departure from EXO in 2014, played "The First Snow" in a live stream, EXO-Ls are now hoping for more "crumbs" from him and the current members.
