LE SSERAFIM's leader, Kim Chaewon, recently discussed her preferences for a partner and her plans for marriage.
During an interview with Lee Yongjin, the 24-year-old singer was asked what her ideal type for a romantic partner would be. Chaewon emphasized that she is not into bad boys. Instead, she said the perfect man would be someone kind and family-oriented.
"Bad boys don't really do it for me. I like kind people—someone funny, kind, [and] family-oriented," she said.
Chaewon also revealed that she plans to get married sometime in the future, noting that she is curious and that she wants to experience it herself.
"I definitely want to get married," she added. "I mean, it's one of the biggest, most special moments in life. So I'm curious."
Chaewon joined LE SSERAFIM in 2022 following a successful stint in the project group IZ*ONE, where she debuted as a lead vocalist and dancer in 2018. Following IZ*ONE's disbandment in 2021, Chaewon, alongside former member Sakura, signed with Source Music and was announced as part of the new girl group LE SSERAFIM.
The 24-year-old singer was initially hesitant to take on the group's leadership role. However, HYBE and Source Music noticed her ability to guide others during a company-organized workshop, and they appointed her as the leader of LE SSERAFIM.
The group debuted with six members: Sakura, Chaewon, Yunjin, Kazuha, Eunchae, and Garam. However, Garam departed shortly after their debut following allegations of bullying during her middle school years. HYBE initially defended Garam and said she was a victim of malicious slandering. Still, a school violence committee report later identified her as the fifth offender, leading to the termination of her contract.
Since their debut, LE SSERAFIM has achieved significant milestones, including chart-topping albums like ANTIFRAGILE and UNFORGIVEN, and becoming the first fourth-generation girl group to have three consecutive albums in the Billboard 200's top 10. They've also performed at prestigious events like the MTV Europe Music Awards and the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen.
