Chen isn't the only EXO member who's been hit by the Love Shot.
Tao, a former member of EXO, has followed in the footsteps of his groupmate, who got hitched in 2020, announcing his engagement over the Chinese social media platform Weibo.
Despite one of his reps formally dismissing marriage rumors between him and his rumored girlfriend, Xu Yiyang, in July, Tao cheekily dropped the bombshell news via a cheeky comment.
Xu shared photos of the couple holding up red marriage certificates, or buzheng, captioned: "Want to have a relationship with marriage as a goal," to which Tao replied, "Goal achieved," without embellishment.
The marriage rumors, initially vehemently denied by Tao and his team, were sparked by what appeared to be leaked photos of a wedding proposal.
The couple confirmed their relationship to the public in July on social media, with Tao proposing amid a sea of roses just weeks later in August, in a viral video.
"From the time we first met until this moment, from the beginning of our journey, everything had already been decided... you are the one who will stay with me until the end. My whole life, this lifetime, every day, every moment, every night, I want that person to be you," Tao said, in a sincere speech.

Xu Yiyang, the lucky girl-in-question, is a former SM trainee, who came under the public eye when she was introduced alongside aespa's Ningning in 2016. The two are close friends, having trained together. While Ningning debuted with aespa in 2020, Yiyang made an earlier debut in 2019 as part of the group Legal High.
