On December 20, Grammy Awards released its Top 10 Most Electrifying Songs in 2024. Surprisingly, the music industry's highest honor didn't only select title tracks but also picked b-sides released this year.
Listed by order of release dates, the Top 10 mentioned some of TikTok's trending songs, such as aespa's "Supernova," which also took the No. 1 seat in South Korean major music charts like MelOn Top 100. There is also KISS OF LIFE's "Igloo," a b-side of their third mini-album, Lose Yourself, which drew attention for its enticing trap beats.
"It's the kind of song that requires a specific 'cool girl'-ness to work," noted the Grammys.

On top of the aforementioned, more girl group songs were listed, such as LE SSERAFIM's "Crazy" and Kep1er's "Shooting Star."
Rescene, a girl group who debuted in 2024 and is considered "nugu" (a group that is underrated or lesser known), amazingly made it into Grammys' best pick as well, following their track "Love Attack."
"This is the most kpopiest [sic] song that has ever kpopied in a while and I just wish they would get more recognition for it," wrote a netizen as highlighted by Grammys.
In addition, some of the biggest fifth-gen boy groups' songs joined the list, too, such as RIIZE's "Impossible" and ZEROBASEONE's "Good So Bad." Both songs invoke nostalgia and timeless classic sounds that display the feeling of hope and eagerness.
Along with the above-mentioned, BOYNEXTDOOR's "Dangerous" was also chosen, which is a song that depicts the idea of danger and rebelliousness and features the members' charisma.
Two of the biggest soloists' tracks in the music scene reigned the list as well, including SHINee Taemin's b-side, "Crush," a release that encapsulated Taemin's power, as Grammys explained.
Lastly, EXO Baekhyun's single, "Pineapple Slice" earned its spot in the top 10. The song which contained the uniqueness of the icon's vocals singing R&B melodies was one of the factors the track made the list and added the awards.
