The new air dates for the highly anticipated 39th Golden Disc Awards have been announced.

On Jan. 3, Korean news outlet Newsen reported that JTBC confirmed the new air dates for the upcoming 39th Golden Disc Awards. The two-part program will now air its pre-recorded segments Digital Song Division on Jan. 6, and Album Division on Jan. 7.

The 39th Golden Disc Awards was originally scheduled for Jan. 4-5 but was immediately canceled out of respect for the victims of the Jeju Air crash.

Earlier on Dec. 31, the secretariat of the Golden Disc Awards sent condolences to the victims of the tragedy. The official also stated that the event will now be replaced with pre-recorded broadcasts.

Furthermore, the secretariat added that the event's red carpet segment will also be canceled as well, and adjustments were also made concerning tickets.

The 39th Golden Disc Awards will take place at the PayDay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan.

In other news, the event announced its performer lineup on Dec. 9, 2024. The star-studded lineup consists of numerous K-pop acts such as SEVENTEEN, GFRIEND, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, TXT, NewJeans, and many more.

The nominees for the awards show was revealed, as various artists received nods in categories Digital Song Division, Album Division, and Rookie of the Year.
