ADOR has issued its official stance regarding NewJeans seeking temporary group names.
In a statement obtained by OSEN, the label declared its view on NewJeans' latest move, wherein the members (Minji, Danielle, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein) announced a contest for fans to pitch temporary group name suggestions on their Instagram account.
In November 2024, the quintet announced they had terminated their contracts with ADOR at a press conference. However, amid fans' protests, the company still insists that the members' contracts remain valid.
One of ADOR's legal actions was its injunction filing against NewJeans to prevent the members from signing independent advertising contracts.

Due to NewJeans' newest proposal for fans, ADOR deemed the group's move of seeking a new name a "serious breach."
"It is unfortunate that the members are attempting to engage in entertainment activities in independent ways," ADOR said.
"One approach included holding a contest to come up with new group names before receiving legal judgement, which could be considered a serious breach of contract."
Previously, NewJeans members uploaded a joint statement through their legal representative at Sejong Law Firm. In the statement, the "How Sweet" singers declared they have "no intention of returning to HYBE and ADOR."
The members also claimed that the companies were harassing them in private.
"They have even tried to persuade or cause discord by secretly meeting some of our parents," they stated.
