CJ ENM, an entertainment company in South Korea, is now seeking contestants eager to join its musical competition, Boys II Planet.

CJ ENM, in partnership with Mnet, will air the competition in the second half of 2025. The company aims to form two new global K-pop boy bands, particularly Chinese and Korean versions.

Selected contestants will be featured in Boys II Planet K, produced in Korean, and Boys II Planet C, produced in Chinese, Soompi reported.

What Are the Requirements for Contestants?

To join the musical competition, the contestant must be a male born before Jan. 1, 2012. They can choose between the Korean and Chinese programs when applying. There are no nationality restrictions, but the contestant must be able to travel internationally.

Auditions for the C version will be held in February and March in Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai, Singapore, Selangor, and Taipei. The auditions for the K version will be held on Feb. 28 in Singapore.

Contestants must demonstrate their dance, rap, or vocal skills. If chosen, they will be featured on the main show.

Applications will close on March 2 for the Chinese version and on March 23 for the Korean version. It was noted that participants who previously applied for the pre-audition project named "Planet B" would no longer need to reapply, per Korea JoongAng Daily.
