Who Was Song Dae-Kwan?
Born on June 2, 1946, in North Jeolla Province, Song made his debut in the music industry in 1967 with the song "The Kind Man." However, it wasn't until 1975 that he shot to stardom with his breakthrough hit "Sunny Day."
Throughout his career, Song released numerous chart-topping songs, including "Four Beats," "Popular Song," and "One Ticket," all of which helped him cement his legacy in the trot genre. Song went on a brief hiatus when he moved to the United States in the 1980s due to declining opportunities in theater shows before making a successful comeback in 1989 with the hit song "Because of Love."
