Relationship Timeline
Mijoo and Bum Keun first confirmed their romance in April 2024, with the former's agency, Antenna, officially acknowledging that the pair were "getting to know each other." Throughout their relationship, Mijoo was seen traveling to Japan to support the soccer player during his matches.
Rumors of their breakup surfaced on Jan. 20 of this year. Neither party has confirmed the news, but a source close to the couple said the public scrutiny became too difficult to handle.
"Lee Mijoo and Song Bum Keun have parted ways. They had a beautiful relationship, but feeling pressure after going public with their relationship was inevitable. Although they broke up, they decided to remain supportive of one another," the statement read.
Mijoo seemingly confirmed the breakup in an episode of Hangout With Yoo, where he mentioned how "free" the birds seemed and whispered that she was "fine." Her fellow cast members were also seen trying to comfort her, according to Koreaboo.
