Former BigBang member T.O.P. has firmly denied rumors of rejoining the iconic K-pop group despite his name still being listed on their official YouTube channel.

Speculation about T.O.P.'s potential return to BigBang began circulating in online communities after fans noticed his name alongside G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung in the group's YouTube channel description. Additionally, T.O.P.'s personal Instagram profile still displays his stage name, "TOP," further fueling reunion rumors.

However, T.O.P.'s representatives quickly dispelled these rumors. In a statement, they clarified, "The name 'TOP' has been written on actor Choi Seung-hyun's profile since before.

"As I said in the 'Squid Game 2' interview, I feel sorry towards the members, and there has been no discussion regarding BigBang," the statement said.

YG Entertainment, which manages BigBang's YouTube channel, also addressed the situation, stating, "The YouTube profile in question has not changed since 'Spring. Summer, Fall, Winter.'"

This refers to BigBang's last release as a group in 2022, which included T.O.P. before his official departure. T.O.P. left BigBang in 2023, citing a deep sense of guilt over past controversies that had affected the group, particularly his 2017 conviction for illegal marijuana use, which led to a 10-month suspended jail sentence.

Since leaving the group, T.O.P. has focused on his acting career. He recently appeared as the drug-dependent rapper Thanos in the second season of Netflix's hit series Squid Game. Despite his return to the entertainment industry following the controversy, T.O.P. maintains he has no plans for a BigBang reunion.
