Former Superstars Competing for Earliest Release

Expectations High

Superstar's K2 might be over, but the real competition is about to begin as the three big winners, Huh Gak, John Park and Jang Jae In, go at it in the real world.

Huh Gak announced through his agency, A-Cube Entertainment, that he will release a new album sometime in February. His agent told reporters, "He wants to make a comeback as soon as possible. Probably no later than February.”

Meanwhile, Rival John Park had originally scheduled his official debut for the end of January, but it looks as though things may get pushed back since no promotions have started for his release. John Park announced at a concert in December that his album would be completed in a month, but no further mention has been made. John Park signed a contract with his agency Music Farm last year, which is also home to famed musician Kim Dong Ryul, so expectations for the release are high.

The real deal maker in this story however is Jang Jae In, who was bested by both John Park and Huh Gak on Superstar. She is the only former superstar with a confirmed date for a single release making her comeback the most prominent. She announced earlier that she will release her new single, translated as "To No One but You" on February 8. Jang Jae In will also scheduled a performance for February 9 through a broadcast of Mnet’s M Countdown.

A rep from Jang’s agency, Kiwi Entertainment, told reporters, “Jang Jae In will begin full-fledged activities next month. The new song, written by Gang Hyun Min, is an easy-listening sweet song.” And the easiest song to listen to is one that actually exists, so John Park and Huh Gak better get to it before they are both bested by Jang Jae In on February 9.
