Paris Jackson cutting seems to be emerging as a bigger issue than her suicide attempt alone. Paris's Tumblr account is filled with dark photos that show an obsession with cutting, death, and suicide.

Paris Jackson will likely be moving to longer-term treatment soon, we recently learned.

Jackson's Tumblr photos hint at a depression Paris Jackson may have been experiencing for long before her suicide attempt. Several photos depict cutting and show graphic, bloody pictures of mutilated skin. Others show teenagers putting guns into their mouths.

In one photo from Paris' Tumblr, a girl with scissors is cutting her arm. It's captioned "I f**king hate myself."

Another image from Jackson's Tumblr is of a piece of paper of a conversation that reads, "Why did you try to kill yourself?" "You told me to be happy."

A third image is of text over a wrist that reads, "Suicide slice here".

Paris Jackson is still in the inpatient psychiatric unit of UCLA Medical Center. It's a well-regarded program, but it's meant to be short term-- and it's certainly not a posh treatment center. Paris will likely move to longer-term residential treatment, perhaps for as long as three months. The new psychiatric program will likely be out of state, in some bucolic rural setting, and may have amenities UCLA lacks - think more horses and Jacuzzis, less cafeteria food and institutional green paint.

Jackson's family says that her suicide attempt was absolutely not "a cry for help", as the police has alleged. Apparently, when the bandages on Paris' arms were taken off, the damage to her tissue was "horrifying". Her arms were covered from lacerations from a meat cleaver.

Another source said that "Paris absolutely tried to kill herself, and it wasn't the first time."

Jackson, like scores of other teenage girls, seems to have problems with cutting and other forms of self injury. The photos depict an obsession, even an idolization, of death.

However, several photos have anti-cutting images, hinting that the problem was out of control and Paris simply couldn't stop herself.

Inside sources say that Paris is "doing better" at UCLA, but still fighting therapy. She doesn't want to cut herself again, but her treatment team has told her family that she needs therapy to ensure that it doesn't happen. Professionals say they must get to the root of the issues that trigger Paris' depression and urges to hurt herself.

One of these issues may be the death of her father, Michael Jackson. Paris apparently spent the fourth anniversary of his death on Tuesday mourning him, but safe-- with the help of hospital staff.

"It was the sanctuary she needed to unleash her grief," a family friend of the Jacksons said.
