Eminem New Album 2013 Rumors: Kendrick Lamar Classic Didn't Happen & 'How To Make Money Selling Drugs' Cameo [Video]

Eminem's new album is still shrouded in mystery, but Kendrick Lamar revealed some things during his meet-up with "Slim Shady" in the studio, and also why Em might include a song about making money selling drugs.

First off, Eminem met up with the Black Hippy crew, which features Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q—among others, a few weeks ago, and we thought Eminem's new 2013 album would feature the hot Cali emcee and his brethren.

But Kendrick told MTV recently, that the meet-up wasn't to record music; it was just a surprise. Here's what Lamar said:

"It was unexpected, I just went to Detroit and I had a show out there and I got a call saying, 'Em [wants you] to come to the studio, come to the studio fast,'

"That was me actually just meeting and greeting," he continued. "I bumped heads with Eminem [in the past], but it was very brief, that was my first time really chopping it up with him, getting to ask all the questions I wanted to ask him."

K-Dot continued and said that Eminem answered all his questions about his movies and staying in the game as long as he has, but they did not--unfortunately--record anything together.

"He gave me straightforward answers and really just gave me the game on how to stay creative as possible.

"He basically told me albums haven't been done like that in a long time from a new artist, and he can appreciate how I structured the whole thing."

Em's final piece of advice for the Good Kid, M.A.A.D City rapper:

"Always stay focused on the craft and not indulge in the other crazy stuff that comes around."

Kendrick Lamar talking with MTV about meeting up with Eminem in the studio:

Eminem was also featured in the trailer for the Adrian Griener documentary How to Make Money Selling Drugs, which gets a wide release this weekend.

About 1:30 into the trailer released last summer, comes Eminem's line in the film: "These mother (bleepers) can't tell me what I can and cannot do."

But the quote appears to be taken out-of-context, despite Eminem being credited on the Internet Movie Database's website.

Em's label-mate, 50-Cent, is featured heavily in the film's trailer since 50 (Curtis Jackson III) sold crack in his South Jamaica Queens neighborhood before becoming a rap star.

But will Eminem return to his drug-laden content from earlier in his career because of his cameo, or is this just another empty rumor?
