'Star Wars: Episode VII' News Update: Cast List, London Shooting Location Revealed, Is J.J. Abrams Keeping George Lucas Out Of The Loop?

Now that J.J. Abrams is winding down from "Star Trek: Into Darkness," "Star Wars: Episode VII" is officially underway with the recent news of a cast list breakdown as well as the film's London shooting location.

Originally leaked by Bleeding Cool, seven character descriptions have been sent out to agents by casting directors April Webster, Alyssa Weisberg, and Nina Gold.

They are as follows:

Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humor, fit.

Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.

A late twenty-something male, fit, handsome and confident.

Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanor. Also doesn't need to be particularly fit.

A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.

Forty something male, fit, military type.

Thirty-something male, intellectual. Apparently doesn't need to be fit.

Vague at best, but if previous plot rumors are true, these characters could turn out to be big roles.

Hollywood Reporter also confirmed that the Walt Disney production will shoot at London's Pinewood Studios.

Home to such blockbusters as the "James Bond" franchise and "Les Miserables," it doesn't seem like Abrams is too excited about relocating.

But what does George Lucas think of all this?

"I have not spoken to J.J. He's been busy with 'Star Trek,' and I'm sure that he'll let me know when he's got some questions," says Lucas according to Access Hollywood.

Considering Lucas' role in creating the "Star Wars" universe, this seems surprising. However, Lucas has also mentioned wanting original trilogy actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford to reprise their roles, so perhaps he will get some say in the end.
