Serena Williams Boyfriend 2013: Rumored Lover Patrick Mouratoglou Stays Out Of Cat Fight? Serena’s Coach Comments On Sharapova Spat, Says He’s ‘Just Here For Tennis’

Patrick Mouratoglou, Serena Williams' rumored boyfriend, stayed out of a personal spat between the American tennis star and Maria Sharapova, saying he's only focused on the sport.

"I don't think anything about it (about what Sharapova said)," Mouratoglou told The Guardian newspaper.

"My role is to think about tennis and to help Serena be the best she can be and do what she wants to achieve. I'm just here for tennis."

The conflict between Serena Williams and Sharapova began when Rolling Stone posted an article revealing that Williams badgered Sharapova and her relationship with Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov, Serena's rumored ex-boyfriend.

"There are people who live, breathe and dress tennis. I mean, seriously, give it a rest," Serena Williams said indirectly referencing Sharapova.

"She begins every interview with 'I'm so happy. I'm so lucky' - it's so boring," says Serena in a loud voice. "She's still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it."

While Serena Williams apologized for her comment about Sharapova, she has not cleared up rumors about her relationship with Mouratoglou.

But Mouratoglou's facial expression during an interview earlier this month might reveal their status as a couple.

When asked if the rumors were true at the French Open this month, Mouratoglou replied with a smile, "Sorry. I don't understand the question," Fashion and Style reports.
