We might see the fifth iteration of the iPad and a new iPad Mini 2 by October, according to the blog iLounge, which has leaked new details on the production of the tablets.

iLounge reports that the upcoming iPad mini will have an upgraded Retina display and will be released the same time the iPad 5 will be sent out. The Retina iPad mini will be condenamed J85, while the fifth-generation iPad is reportedly known as J72.

According to reports, the new iPad mini will retain the first-generation design.

In an earlier article by Erika Pineda of the International Business Times, Apple’s iOS 7 Beta for iPad has gone live and provides a review of the reengineered mobile OS look. It

What came out Monday, according to Pineda, is intended to enhance the overall iOS experience, which Apple said will be extended to iPad owners, from the second generation to the fourth, including the iPad mini, the iPad 5 and the up and coming iPad mini 2.

Some of the new iOS features, will be restricted to specific iPad models, in the same way that the iOS 7 will not work on iPhones older than the iPhone 4. The iPad mini 2 and the iPad 5 will be the chief device carriers of the brand-new iOS 7 capabilities.

As seen on the demonstration at the concluded WWDC 2013, the main offering of the iOS 7 is a cleaner user interface, according to Jefferies analyst Peter Misek. It supports Jony Ive’s aim to de-clutter iOS devices with the goal of highlighting iPad features.

The Business Times noted that the upgrade is manifested in the new device icons that highlights the simpler iPad look but with greater power behind the easier gadget skin.

Although there are no multiple windows in a single screen available for the iPad, Apple developed something similar and equally useful. With iOS 7, users are given a card of apps in fullscreen rendering, enabling to peruse and switch to a specific application. This is the closest that users can get to tablet multitasking, reported the Business Times.

The future iPad models and those recent enough to benefit from the overhauled iOS 7 design has a number of Android-inspired functions. One of them is the pulling up of the Control Center with a simple screen swipe.

The addition will allow users to easily toggle on device settings less the hassle of having to go through circuitous routes.

One huge benefit for iPad users is the Notification Centre’s Today Screen, which unlike an Android widget delivers real-time updates on news, weather and even stock movements.

The tool can also be synced with the device Calendar to send out reminders on meetings and special events like birthdays and anniversaries.

Although all the iOS 7 features is practically confirmed for the recent iPad models, Apple does not comment on future iterations of the tablet.
