Jared Leto Dresses In Drag For Transgender Magazine Cover, 30 Seconds to Mars Singer Plays Transvestite In ‘Dallas Buyers Club’

Jared Leto, lead singer of 30 Seconds to Mars, surprised readers when he appeared on the cover of the transvestite magazine Candy, dressed in drag.

The 41-year-old donned a pink wig and a thick layer of pale makeup for the summer 2013 issue, the sixth issue for the publication. He is also wearing bright red lipgloss, fake eyelashes, and a lacy pink top that makes his blue eyes top. Despite the makeup, Leto's stubble is visible on his chin and jawline. He sticks his tongue up to touch his top teeth.

The top cover line on the magazine reads, "There's no people, like show people." On the bottom, it says, "Oh, Jared Leto!"

By this time, Jared must be used to dressing in drag. In his new upcoming film, "The Dallas Buyers Club," he plays a transsexual with AIDS in the 1980s.

During shooting for the film in November, the actor spent hours on set in high heels and fishnet stockings, The Huffington Post reports.

The star wrote to his Twitter followers about the painful waxing process he had to undergo for his role.

'Ladies, I feel your pain. What I have learned today: Beauty is pain. Wax on wax off,' he tweeted.

Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner also star in the film.

The film is slated for release on February 7 2014.

James Franco is another celebrity that has appeared in full drag on the cover of Candy magazine about three years ago.
