Aaron Hernandez Arrested And Charged With Murder: Did His Father’s Death Make Him A Killer? Death Of Dead Left Ex-Patriots Star ‘Angry’

Aaron Hernandez was arrested and charged with murder on Wednesday, but anger issues involving the death of his father might have pushed the ex-Patriots star toward killing.

Hernandez was a nightmare for his mother in light of his father's death, which occurred before senior year in high school, the New York Daily News reports.

"It was a rough process, and I didn't know what to do for him," Hernandez's mother, Terri, told USA Today in 2009.

"He would rebel. It was very, very hard, and he was very, very angry. He wasn't the same kid, the way he spoke to me. The shock of losing his dad, there was so much anger."

Aaron Hernandez, 23, was charged with murdering Boston semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd after his body was found in an industrial park a mile away from his home.

Lloyd was a 27-year-old Boston Bandits player who dated the sister of Aaron Hernandez's fiancée. He was shot repeatedly in the back and chest on a secluded gravel road, authorities told Fox Sports.

"I was a bit stunned that he was being investigated with a dead body nearby," said attorney David Jaroslawicz, who is representing the victim, according to the New York Daily News.

"I guess time will tell. Plaxico Burress went to jail, and he had the decency to shoot himself."

Aaron Hernandez could get life in prison without parole if he is convicted.
