'The Legend Of Korra' News Updates [VIDEO]: Book 1 Soundtrack And UK Premiere Get July Release Dates, Will Season 2 Follow?

As fans eagerly wait for season 2 of "The Legend of Korra," July seems to be the month for several exciting releases for the Nickelodeon hit series.

The official soundtrack for Book 1 titled "The Legend of Korra: Original Music from Book One," will be released July 16 with whopping 26 tracks.

"We were always incredibly happy with Jeremy Zuckerman's beautiful music on 'Avatar: The Last Airbender,' so when it came time for him to score 'Korra' we just knew we wanted more of the same great work from him," says series co-creator Bryan Konietzko to Speakeasy.

"He has plenty of goals of his own for the music on the new series, so we just try to give him the space and the opportunities to achieve them. We did throw some new challenges his way on Book One, like asking him to fuse traditional Asian instrumentation into 1920's jazz, and of course he rose to the occasion wonderfully."

Konietzko and partner-in-crime Michael DiMartino have reportedly known Zuckerman and musical partner Benjamin Wynn since college, where they formed their respective duos. And they've been creating fantasies ever since.

In addition to the musical release, the UK will finally see the premiere of "The Legend of Korra" July 7 on Nickelodeon UK.

An official website has been unveiled in accordance to the premiere, where fans can take a virtual tour of Republic City.

So what does this mean for season 2 here in the US?

As of now, no release dates have been confirmed, but given the recent release of a first-look clip, we can expect it in the coming months.
