Gilbert Arenas Arrested Again For Possession Of Illegal Fireworks: The Ex-NBA Star Once One Of The League's Best, Now Arrested Again [VIDEO]

Gilbert Arenas arrested again Thursday morning around 2:30 a.m. in Los Angeles with possession of illegal fireworks.

TMZ reported that the truck of the ex-NBA star was full of illegal fireworks after he was pulled over for allegedly speeding. Gilbert Arenas arrested again after the police noticed the fireworks and that Arenas was driving without a license.

Gilbert Arenas arrested again, but only booked with a misdemeanor possession. Around 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Arenas was released from custody without bail, TMZ reported. Authorities said there was 100 lbs. of fireworks in the trunk of Arenas, but only a misdemeanor was what Arenas was charged with.

Arenas was allegedly driving at 80-mph when he was pulled over. The police used the LAPD bomb squad to handle the fireworks.

The three-time NBA all-star, former Most Improved Player award winner and member of All-NBA second team in 2007, Arenas had a career that warranted him a contract that in 2008, he signed a six-year deal with the Washington Wizards worth $111 million.

After being drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2001, Arenas had most of his success in Washington, but after signing that contract, he suffered a knee injury in the first season of the new deal. Arenas became injury-pronged and didn't even play until the end of March of that season.

The following season, Arenas admitted to having unloaded firearms in his locker room. Arenas was charged with carrying a pistol without a license, a violation of Washington D.C.'s gun-control laws in January of 2010.

He was not originally suspended until before a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Arenas was in the middle of a huddle, pretending to shoot his teammates. Arenas was sentenced to two years probation and six months in a halfway house.

The actions of Arenas "has led me to conclude that he is not currently fit to take the court in an NBA game," NBA Commissioner David Stern said at the time. He was suspended for the rest of the season.

When Arenas came back, he would be traded in the middle of the next season to the Orlando Magic. The Magic would later use the amnesty clause to buy out the contract of Arenas, thus making him a free agent.

For the 2011-2012 season, he signed with the Memphis Grizzlies, but today is no longer in the league.
