The Terminator Reboot Announcement: Paramount Announces Three New Films And Will Arnold Schwarzenegger Return?

The Terminator reboot announcement Thursday by Paramount, which said it planned to have three new films.

The planning for the films is set to take place soon, according to Paramount after the Terminator reboot announcement was released publicly.

Now that the Terminator reboot announcement happened, will former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, make his return to the film? He told a crowd in Australia earlier in June that he would be in the movie, and he said he would star, even though Paramount hasn't revealed any details.

"I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in 'Terminator 5" and to star as the Terminator, which we start shooting in January," Schwarzenegger said at the time earlier in June.

There is no word on where the film will pick up or if it will start over again.

In the original film of 1984 and its sequels, which earned more than $1 billion at the box office worldwide, Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in the first two movies of the franchise.

Three sequels to the original Terminator movie were made with the latest being released in theatres in 2009. The movie also spun off two shows: "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and "You could be Mine," which was a web series.

Toys were made based off the films as well as two different rides at adventure parks. The T2 3-D: Battle Across Time is a ride at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando. There is also Terminator Salvation: The Ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

The movie also created a line that is still used almost 20 years later: "I'll be back." This was the line Schwarzenegger made famous in the film.

Paramount, David Ellison's Skydance Pictures and Megan Ellison's Annapurna Pictures are partnering on the reboot of the franchise.
