'Legend Of Korra' News Update: Michael DiMartino And Bryan Konietzko Hype Up Comic Con Panel, Season 2 Release Date To Be Announced In San Diego?

With the San Diego Comic-Con around the corner, Nickelodeon has announced a panel for "The Legend of Korra" on July 19, and no one seems more excited than co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.

"The 'Legend of Korra' cast is going to be hosting a panel at the San Diego Comic Con on July 19th from 11:15 am-12:15 pm in Ballroom 20!" writes DiMartino on his Tumblr.

"Hmmmm...what do you think we'll be discussing at the panel?"

According to Hypable, Ballroom 20 is one of the biggest capacity rooms in the convention center, and given the immense popularity of the hit series, fans are hoping for a lot of announcements about season 2.

"We are beyond excited about this year's 'Korra' events and offerings at the Con and we're glad Nickelodeon has finally started revealing some details about it all," writes Konietzko on his Tumblr.

"We really hope more Korra fans can make it into the panel in the cavernous Ballroom 20 this year. See you in SD!"

With reports of "a lot planned over more than one day" and the unsurprising secrecy around it all, perhaps a release date for the long awaited Book 2 will finally be announced!

With the recent release of the first preview clip of Book 2, entitled "Spirits," be sure to check back for any updates during Comic Con from July 18 to 21.
