MLB Pitcher Found Dead: Former Relief Pitcher Justin Miller Dead At 35-Years-Old With No Cause Given

MLB pitcher found dead at his home in Palm Harbor, Fla. Wednesday night. The 35-year-old Justin Miller was found dead with no further details given.

The MLB pitcher found dead has not been in the majors since 2010 when he was a relief pitcher for the L.A. Dodgers. Justin Miller was a journeyman relief pitcher who did not stay in the majors too long.

Following that season, Miller signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners, but was dropped by the end of April.  The MLB pitcher found dead also signed with the Texas Rangers, but was released shortly thereafter. Miller finally made one more return to the Dodgers where he pitched in the minors for less than a month, was released, and never made it back to the majors.

Miller's most successful season in the MLB might have been when he went 3-3, with a 3.18 ERA, for the Giants in 2009 as a long-relief pitcher.

In 2004, the "Justin Miller rule" came about because of his arms were cover with tattoos. The league forced him to cover up the tats with sleeves whenever they were on the mound. The ink was too distracting for hitters.

Jessica Miller told a source that it was a sudden death, but no further details, according to TMZ. Justin Miller is survived by his wife Jessica and their two sons.
