Tom Hiddleston does not have a girlfriend, despite rumors that he was dating Jessica Chastain in the beginning of 2013. Tom and Jessica have both been confused by the girlfriend rumors, because Jessica is seriously dating a mogul in the fashion business.

So why doesn't Tom Hiddleston have a girlfriend? Well, he is apparently single and likes it that was. In fact Hiddleston doesn't like attention from female fans and has been outspoken that he enjoys his career over dating.

'With sexiest, it's a subjective thing. It's alarming when attention comes your way," he said.

Hiddleston, who was named "Sexiest Movie Star Alive" in a poll earlier in 2013, says fans voted for him because of his role as Loki in "Thor," "Avengers Assemble" and the upcoming "Thor 2: The Dark World."

''It might be when I die my hair black, and wear white make-up, leather and metal, there's a particular vibe going on there," he said.

And as for Jessica; she is puzzled by the dating rumors.

"Why would they say that?" she told USA Today. "It's not true at all. It's funny, two weeks ago I was dating - I'm not dating.

"But there was an earlier rumor on Page 6 that I was dating [co-star] Edgar Ramirez. I love him, but he's just my friend."

Jessica Chastain does indeed have an undercover romance with fashion executive Gian Luca Passi and it is reportedly getting serious.

The 35-year-old Oscar-nominated Zero Dark Thirty actress is rumored to have been quietly dating Gian, an Italian senior official for French clothing line Moncler, for some time now.

Apparently the pair are smitten with each other.

"They've been dating seriously for awhile now and Gian really likes her," a source told Us Weekly magazine.

It is said that Jessica is doing everything in her power to keep her relationship out of the limelight.

Her supportive beau is of the same mind and is willing to go out of his way to ensure their affair remains private.

When asked by American journalist Katie Couric on talk show Katie whether or not she had a boyfriend, the star gave a clear answer.

"I do . . . I have a rule that I don't date actors so he's not in the business at all . . . He's in the fashion industry," Jessica shared.
