Jessica Simpson's daughter has a new playmate -- a baby brother named Ace.

Simpson's rep confirmed that the entertainer gave birth to Ace Knute in Los Angeles on Sunday via planned C-section. The details were first reported by Us Weekly.

This is the second child for Simpson and her fiance, Eric Johnson. Simpson gave birth to daughter Maxwell last year.

Simpson, who got her start as a singer and has a successful apparel and accessories line, most recently appeared on NBC's "Fashion Star."

Jessica and Eric have one other kid together ... daughter Maxwell ... born May 1, 2012. 

The fashion mogul is officially a mom of two!

Jessica and her fiance are thrilled to welcome their first boy, and released a statement: "Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great," Jessica's rep told Us Weekly. "Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family."

We can't imagine how excited Maxwell must be!

The proud mom accidentally let it slip that she was expecting a baby boy during her March 7 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. "The crazy thing is I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous," she joked to host Jimmy Kimmel.  Then immediately after, when she realized what she had done, she said "oh shhhh, I guess I just told the world that I'm having a boy!"

Hollywood has a thing for interesting baby names, doesn't it. The Kanye-Kim baby is named North West. Jessica and Eric now have a girl named Maxwell and a boy named Ace Knute. What will be next?
