An insider told Perez Hilton that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been arguing over her increasingly gaudy sexual public appeal and behavior.

"They've had a lot of fights about it ... Miley doesn't think Liam has any right to tell her to tone it down. He plays different characters for his career and this is the character she's playing right now for her career," the insider told Perez Hilton.

"She has made some adjustments because she wants to keep the peace. It might not look like it, but she toned down a lot of stuff in her We Can't Stop video. It's a hard line to walk because she's trying to be respectful to Liam but also be true to herself as an artist."

Miley Cyrus recently cleared rumors about her break up with Liam Hemsworth on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, but many are saying that the "We Can't Stop" star's parent's split was the only reason the "Hunger Games" star got closer to her.

Several reports about Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were released mentioning that the two became closer after her parents announced their split and that he's been a "rock" to his fiancée.
