New Production Combines 'Doctor Who,' 'Sherlock,' And 'James Bond': Matt Smith, Helen Mirren, And Ben Wishaw Star In One-Night Play For Autism Charity

"Doctor Who" and "Sherlock" may be on hiatus, but Matt Smith and Andrew Scott will battle it out in a one-night special event at the Apollo Theatre tonight as their roles in the hit series.

As a sequel to the West End show "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," "The Audience" is a part of "A Curious Night at the Theatre," a charity gala aiming to raise money for autism.

"It is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see all those people in the same story. I'm sure a lot of people have fantasized about what would happen if the Doctor did battle with Moriarty," says director of Simon Stephens.

According to The Radio Times, the production features Jude Law as a supply teacher and Harry Treadaway as the autistic protagonist Boone.

Matt Smith, Andrew Scott, Ben Wishaw, and Helen Mirren will all make an appearance in specially filmed scenes as the Doctor, Moriarty, Q, and the Queen.

"The Audience" tells the story of the Time Lord in need of Boone's help to foil a plot by BBC baddie Moriarty to spread a computer virus which impairs people's ability to understand metaphors-a common effect of autism.

So while fans await the "Doctor Who" 50th Anniversary Special and "Sherlock" season three, they can catch some familiar faces tonight.
