'Under The Dome' TV Preview [SPOILERS]: What To Expect In Tonight's Episode 'The Fire,' And Will Someone Die?

"Under the Dome" has only aired one episode and it is already making huge buzz for CBS with high viewership, despite the differences from Stephen King's novel.

After a rerun yesterday, the 17 million people who watched the pilot can catch the second episode, "The Fire," tonight.

As shown in the promo, the main set piece for the episode seems to be a fire that induces panic through Chester Mill.

"While the residents of Chester's Mill face the uncertainty of life in the dome, panic is heightened when a house goes up in flames and their fire department is outside of the dome," says the official episode synopsis.

For fans who have read the Stephen King novel, the topic of an explosion is particularly interesting, as it is related to one of the final climactic moments of the story, which takes the lives of quite a few Chester mill residents.

Given that the mini-series is only set for 13 episodes as of now, can we expect someone to bite the bullet already?

One character already in peril is Howard "Duke" Perkins (Jeff Fahey), the chief of the police department who had his pacemaker explode after touching the dome wall.

So, will this be the last of the Duke?

Be sure to check out tonight's episode of "Under the Dome" on CBS at 10pm EST.
