Rihanna wasn't able to attend the BET Awards last night because of her Diamonds World Tour, but she did find time to wish Chris Brown luck during his performance. Does this mean they may re-unite?

Rihanna was a big winner on the night despite being unable attend because she's currently touring Europe.

The 25-year-old singer took home the award for Top R&B Singer despite not being in attendance while her former boyfriends Chris Brown and Drake were also nominated for multiple awards.

That European tour has seen big headlines, most notably in the the Daily Mail when columnist Liz Jones had a back-and-forth with the Barbadian beauty over her place as a female role model.

But it wasn't Rihanna's rumor-filled European tour, or her Instagram slam of Liz Jones that got the most headlines today after the awards show wrapped up well past midnight EST.

No, it was Rihanna's supposedly kind words of encouragement to ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, the same man who violently assaulted her in 2009 and who was still dating her as early as March of this year.

A source close to Rihanna told HollywoodLife.com that she was rooting for Chris to win big, even if they are no longer together:

"You know she does. It's going to be tough as nails for him to pull it off, but she's hoping he'll win. ... He needs this more than ever now. It would help his confidence and lift his head up and she really hopes he gets it."

So does the "Stay" singer want to possibly go back to Chris Brown despite his rekindling a relationship with former beau, Karrueche Tran?

Not likely, but we do know that as Brown and Rihanna spend more time apart, they'll continue to heal and maybe one day soon, they'll be back together. For now, though, he's with Karrueche Tran, and Rihanna is dazzling in Europe.
