Apple iWatch Trademarked Rumor: Reports Say It's True And The Future Could Be Coming

The Apple iWatch trademarked rumor continues now that Apple had officially trademarked the iWatch in Japan.

Bloomberg reported the news Monday about the Apple iWatch trademarked rumors and could mark the reality of this rumor that has been going on for quite some time.

The Apple iWatch trademarked rumor possibly could mean nothing. Companies do file to trademark specific things in order to protect the name and idea.

Apple is also thought to be developing such a device - the so-called iWatch - with a report in February this year claiming "a team of about 100 product designers [is] working on a wristwatch-like device that may perform some of the computing tasks now handled by the iPhone and iPad.

"Investors shouldn't be misled by the word 'Watch'. We think iWatch will not be positioned as a time-telling device, nor as a device that displays information from other Apple products," Kuo wrote in an investor's report. "We are positive on the iWatch because its wearable design is helpful for offering more secure user identification and biometrics functionality."

As far as competitors are concerned, A Samsung executive confirmed last month that the company has been working on a futuristic watch "for so long", though he declined to say when it might be available, according to the report.
