Anna Nicole Smith Movie With Agnes Bruckner Lures Millions in a Record Breaking Debut; Miracle Falsies Made Bruckner’s DDs “Move and Jiggle”

Anna Nicole Smith movie with Agnes Bruckner lured 3.3 million viewers to make the biopic a pretty big hit for the Lifetime Network. That wasn’t the only thing that got big. To play Anna Nicole Smith in the movie, Agnes Bruckner had to go from a B bra cup size to a DD and she did it without going under the surgeon's knife.

The tragic portrayal of Anna Nicole Smith aired on Lifetime on June 29. “Anna Nicole” lured in a few more viewers than the recently-aired Jodi Arias biopic “Dirty Little Secret.” It fell short of last year’s Lindsay Lohan movie “Liz & Dick.” “Anna Nicole” currently holds the record for this year’s top cable movie premiere.

To recreate Anna Nicole Smith’s more-than-ample figure on the “flat-chested” Agnes Bruckner, the “Anna Nicole” producers recruited Greg Cannom, a three-time Oscar-winning special effects makep artist, to design and apply state-of-the-art prosthetic breasts to the 27-year-old Agnes Bruckner every morning of shooting. Greg Cannom transformed Robin Williams into “Mrs. Doubtfire” and did the aging work on “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” For “Anna Nicole,” he was aided by makeup artist masters David De Leon and Todd McIntosh. The prosthetics were made of gel-filled silicone and designed to be applied individually in four-hour-long fitting sessions.

McIntosh told The Post, “David and I would apply the breasts in tandem. This created the freedom for them to move and jiggle more like flesh. It would have been impossible for her to do the pole dancing or fill out some of the outfits without this innovation.”

To play Anna Nicole Smith, Agnes Bruckner’s breasts had to hold up realistically as she wiggled at a strip club, posed for Playboy magazine, danced on tabletops in skimpy dresses and dive into a pool. Bruckner, who describes herself as “flat-chested,” said “They couldn’t have been any more real looking. It was so strange, wearing them for the first time. I was standing there ‘topless,’ but it was really like I had a shirt on because there was nothing exposed of my own. I’d look at myself, and I kept thinking, ‘Oh, my God, could you imagine if they really were that big?’ ”

“Anna Nicole” was directed by Mary Harron and featured Martin Landau, Virginia Madsen, Adam Goldberg, and Cary Elwes. Anna Nicole’s life was also toldin the 2007 movie “Anna Nicole” that starred Willa Ford.
