Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck Baptize Their Son And Celebrate Their 8th Anniversary, "They Were Really Affectionate," Source Says

Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck had an important weekend. They baptized their son and celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary in Garner's hometown of Charleston, West Virginia.

Actors Garner, 41, and Affleck, 40, baptized their 16-month-old son Samuel at Garner's family church, Christ Church United Methodist on Sunday. Their daughters Violet, 7, and Seraphina, 4, were also present at the baptism.

"Violet was very well-behaved" commented a witness to the baptism, E! News reports. Seraphina, on the other hand, "was running around, and Ben had to keep getting up to run after [her]."

"He's really cute. He was wearing little blue overalls," a parishioner told People magazine about Samuel. "He kept trying to high-five the pastor as he was getting baptized."

The couple wore their Sunday best; Affleck wore a fitted suit and Garner chose a white dress.

"They looked really happy," the source added.

Garner and Affleck spent their anniversary at a local pizza parlor called Pies and Pints, where they indulged in beer, pizza, and salad.

"They were so cute, holding hands and kissing each other. She had her hand on his leg," said a source who was also eating at the joint that night. "They were really affectionate."

Sounds like the husband and wife are going strong!

The restaurant's owner, Rob Lindeman, told People magazine that the Hollywood couple have been to the parlor before.

"Ben and Jen like to come in when they're in town," he said. "They're just really solid people. They seemed like they were having a great time."

After dinner, they had dessert at Ellen's Homemade Ice Cream, where Affleck gave employees a generous tip of about $100 each, E! News reports.

Affleck appeared on Saturday Night Live in May with Garner, where the two talked about his Oscar speech, in which he was criticized for  referring to his marriage to her as "work."

Affleck told Garner on the show: "I want to tell you how I wish I had ended that speech: I couldn't do any of the things I do without you, without your support. You're my angel, my life, my world."
