Did a former tennis star predict Serena Williams' current relationship?

British tennis pundit Annabel Croft told Sporting Life in an interview in January that Serena Williams has an excellent chemistry with her coach and rumored lover Patrick Mouratoglou.

"Her new coach/relationship with Patrick Mouratoglou is floruishing and she seems extremely happy in every department right now," Croft said in the interview.

"If she's playing the same as she did last season and how she's started this year, it's going to be very tough to beat her," Croft added, remarking on her tennis career.

Rumors have flared over the relationship that Serena Williams and coach Patrick Mouratoglou have, sparked by photos of the couple shopping together with her hand in his pocket.

But Serena Williams has also made headlines for her recent dispute with Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova, who dates her ex-boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria.

The conflict began after Serena Williams made comments about Maria Sharapova during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, where she called her "boring."

"There are people who live, breathe and dress tennis. I mean, seriously, give it a rest," Serena Williams said in a recent interview, indirectly referencing Maria Sharapova.

"She begins every interview with 'I'm so happy. I'm so lucky' - it's so boring. She's still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it."

No word on whether Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova have made amends, but there are rumors they have.
