Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release: Root For Leaked Firmware of Google’s Upcoming OS Now Out, XDA Developer Revealed

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release date does not have any official confirmation yet but an XDA developer was already able to root the leaked firmware.

According to Android Authority, the news came from xda developers, revealing that xda Elite Recognized Developer, Chainfire, was able to adapt his SuperSU root app for the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean released.

Reportedly, the root works on the Google Play Edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which runs the leaked Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (JWR66N.S005.130625) released a few days ago. Chainfire explained that it is the first root of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean that is currently out there, via Google+.

The developer shared that it is not clear if the protections in place are defaults for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or created by Samsung but the root required "quite a few mods to SuperSU:" He said, "It remains to be seen if all of the protections that have been circumvented have been Samsung's doing (as is normal for Samsung pre-release leaked firmwares), or if some of them are actually normal for Android 4.3."

Nevertheless, all the features are "fully operational" thus, for those who have Samsung Galaxy S4 and interested to install the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean released, it is such good news that the firmware can also be rooted.

Aside from Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release of leaked version can also run on the regular 19505 Galaxy S4 or the Snapdragon-powered with 600 chipset 19505 Galaxy S4, as reported by GSM Arena.

Reports said that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean released features enhancements to camera application and additional options for wi-fi connectivity to make it more battery-friendly. Accordingly, there is also a new feature which offers power-saving Bluetooth.

Google has not made any announcement yet regarding Android 4.3 Jelly Bean release date but a lot of fans are already interested to get their hands on the forthcoming update for the firmware.
