Chaz Bono's male role dreams have finally come true as he graces the stage as the president of the United States in a musical.

According to Celebrity Café, Chaz Bono, 44, is currently showing off his acting skills in West Hollywood theatre, playing as the American president for "Thirty Minute Musicals: Independence Day." Chaz Bono said that he was really eyeing for this male role as the US President, imitating the role started by Bill Pullman in the 1996 film. He said, "Luckily, I got it. I've decided that hopefully it is never too late to do what you want to do."

Chaz Bono, child of Cher and late Sonny Bono, became huge news in 2009 when he transitioned from being a woman to a man. Since then, he has received various roles and opportunities to appear on TV as an advocate for the transgendered in the US. But the most recent acting part he was able to snag was a dream come true.

Chaz Bono shared his previous acting experiences. He told, I started acting in high school. It was the career that I wanted but I stopped because I couldn't really do a good job playing female characters and I didn't know why.

Chaz Bono then explained that his first time to play a male character helped him to open his eyes to the root of his gender identity. He revealed, "My senior year of high school I got cast as a male character and for the first time I really excelled." However, Bono felt that it will never happen as a professional, so he had to find another career.

Chaz Bono was entirely absent from the limelight because he did not believed that he will be casted for roles male roles until he competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2011. More guest starring roles came for him such as on shows like "Degrassi: The Next Generation" and "The Secret Life of the American Teenager from ABC." And now, Chaz Bono is busy with his male role as US President in the musical show, Thirty Minute Musicals: Independence Day.
