Brazilian Soccer Referee Decapitated On June 30: Watch As He Allegedly Stabs Player To Death, Fans Kill Ref, Put Head On A Stake But There's Different Reports Of The Player Dead [VIDEO]

Brazilian soccer referee decapitated on June 30 after fans mobbed the field, stoned him to death and allegedly stuck his head on a pole.

The Public Safety Department of the state of Maranhao said in a statement that it all started when the Brazilian soccer referee decapitated was Otavio da Silva. He expelled player Josenir Abreu from a game last weekend. The two then got into a fist fight, and Silva took out a knife and stabbed Abreu, who died on his way to the hospital.

The alleged raged fans stormed the field and reportedly had a relationship with Abreu. The statement issued this week said Abreu's friends and relatives immediately "rushed into the field, stoned the referee to death and quartered his body" of the Brazilian soccer referee decapitated on June 30.

According to local news reports, other spectators got involved and were the ones who put the head on a stake in the middle of the field.

A report from Reuters said that Abreu wouldn't get off the field after he was ejected by Silva. Abreu then challenged Silva to a fight. That's when Silva took out a pocket knife and stabbed Silva "repeatedly."

Maranhão Valter Costa, the Chief of Police in Santa Ines, in the north of Brazil has said, "Reports of witnesses have indicated some people that were in place at the time of the fact. We will identify and hold accountable all those involved. A crime will never justify another. Actions like this do not collaborate with the legality of a state law."

Another report said that the player killed in the incident with the Brazilian soccer referee decapitated was 30-year-old Josenir dos Santos, and he reportedly died on his way to the hospital from his wounds.
