Elisha Cuthbert Married To Hockey Boyfriend Dion Phaneuf: Toronto Maple Leafs Tweets Twitter Congrats To Captain, Will Marriage Numb 'Happy Endings' Cancellation Gloom?

Despite a "Happy Endings" cancellation, Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert is now married to hockey captain Dion Phaneuf in a 300-plus wedding at Prince Edward Island.

"It's a big wedding," said Rev. Paul Egan who led the service according to People. "Probably the biggest I've ever done in my 46 years, as far as the celebrity part of it goes."

The marriage comes after a five-year courtship, after the Toronto Maple Leafs star proposed to Cuthbert last September.

During that time, Elisha Cuthbert was also playing Alex on "Happy Endings," a character who ditched the alter during her marriage vows. The ABC show is now canceled.

But that was the last thing on her mind as she got married to Phaneuf, 28.

"It's such a quiet place that we can be ourselves and not get bothered too much and have a real summer away from the hustle and bustle of our lives," said the 30-year-old "Girl Next Door" according to Hollywoodlife.

Cuthbert and Phaneuf also received congratulatory message from the hockey jock's team on Twitter.

But what will Cuthbert star in next for her film or television project? So far, nothing has been lined up post-"Happy Endings," but perhaps this is a good time for the married couple to enjoy their lives together.

The couple exchanged their vows at the St. James Catholic Church in Summerfield.
