With the newest Pokemon movie "ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens" to open in Japanese theaters later this week, here's some fun and exciting tidbits on its attached short, "Pikachu and Eevee Friends."

The short, as per tradition, will play before the official Pokemon film, and as you can guess, it features all of Eevee's evolutions!

Sunshore.com has this for the summary of the short.

"Pikachu goes to play for the first time with many other Pokemon at the Eevee's home, 'Eevee House'! Due to Meowth's mischief there's an uproar at the all summer Eevee House?!"

So far, confirmed Pokemon appearances according to Bulbapedia include Pikachu, Meowth, Wobbuffet, Oshawott, Pansage, Evee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and Glaceon.

But the exciting tidbit about this short is that Sylveon, a new fairy-type addition set to appear in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for the 3DS, will also make its grand debut!

Several different TV spots have been utilized to advertise the Pokemon movie, and they all include footage from both "ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens" and "Pikachu and Eevee Friends."

AnimeNewsNetwork reports that the voice of Sylveon will be portrayed by Shoko Nakagawa, while Japanese girl group AKB48 member Atsuko Maeda will narrate the short.
