Lamar Odom and the LA Lakers was not always a match made in heaven, and Lamar Odom has been playing for the Los Angeles Clippers since he left the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks. 

However, despite being traded away before, Lamar Odom and the LA Lakers could be a good fit now. The Los Angeles Lakers just lost Dwight Howard, a talented  center and power forward, and they are looking for a big man to replace him who doesn't cost too much.  Lamar Odom fits the bill well.

Lamar Odom currently makes 8.2 million per season but the LA Lakers can only pay him up to 3.2 million.  Lamar Odom must make a minimum of 1.4 million dollars at his level.

Former LA LAker Lamar Odom was a great asset to the Los Angeles Lakers, helping the LA Lakers to win two championships, and winning the NBA's sixth man award.

In his last season, Lamar Odom has done very well, averaging four points and 5.9 rebounds before becoming a free agent last week. Lamar may make the tough choice to re-sign with the LA Clippers instead.

Lamar Odom and the LA Lakers were somewhat disgruntled after the Los Angeles Lakers tried to use Lamar Odom as a trade chip for other players.  Even though the trade was not made, it affected the team.  Lamar Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks soon afterwards.

Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles informed followers on Twitter of the news: "Lakers have reached out to Lamar Odom, but it been hard to determine how high interest level is on either side thus far."

The Los Angeles Lakers have some concerns about filling their roster for the upcoming season.  Lamar Odom may be the man who fits the bill for their needs.

Lamar Odom is perhaps equally well known for his marriage to Khloe Kardashian, sister of Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.  Lamar has appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
